Missed appointments, known as Did Not Attends (DNAs) can cause serious delays in treatment for other patients. They occur when an appointment is not attended and the patient has not contacted the practice in advance to cancel it or where the cancellation is so late as to make it impossible to allocate that time to another patient who needs treatment.
Each month we are averaging 60 GP appointments that are coded as DNA, so this is 60 less appointments for patients waiting to be seen.
Please ensure that you keep your appointment or inform us if you are unable to attend as soon as possible.
